The GVR Lapidary and Silversmith Club is one of the largest clubs of its type in the United States. We operate three lapidary and silversmithing Centers in Green Valley. Each Center includes a shop, equipment for members to use for lapidary and silversmith activities, and classrooms for the many courses we teach through the club. We encourage all members to utilize each of the facilities to meet other club members and become familiar with the equipment available in each of the shops.
The annual dues of $60 are due by January 1st. We encourage you to pay early. New members who join in October, November or December will get those months added to their next year's membership.
Questions about membership? - Contact Us.
Members are required to read Shop Rules (click the link for the rules). Feel free to print the rules for your records. This is important information about your health and safety while enjoying the benefits of the GVR Lapidary and Silversmith Club.
If you'd like to renew your Lapidary Club Membership without filling out the form again, follow these steps:
Please fill out the application in its entirety. For example, the “in case of emergency” information could be a lifesaver in case of a medical emergency in the shop. Also, please indicate how you would like to fulfill your 12 volunteer hours per year by completing the Volunteer Survey.
After you complete the online membership application you can choose between paying online or printing an invoice. If you print an invoice, bring it to one of the centers with your payment to receive a receipt for your dues. There is a $10 fee for a name badge (optional) if you requested one on your application. You may also mail a check to the Club at the address listed below.
To apply for membership, please download this file in PDF version, print it, complete it (or better yet, complete it online, then print it), and bring the form and the membership fee to one of the Centers or mail a check to the Club at the address listed below.

Donations are welcomed and appreciated. Donations will be designated for replacement of large equipment, such as Slab Saws, Custom Work Benches, Kiln, etc.
There is a $10 charge for a name badge for new members if one is requested on the membership application. Payment is to be made when you pay your dues. When it arrives, you may pick it up at the East Center shop. If the badge gets lost, a replacement fee of $10 will be the responsibility of the member. If you have any questions, contact Peg at membership@gvrlapidaryclub.org. You are encouraged to wear them, especially around the shops, as they will help you to get to know other members and help to promote the club.
