LAPIDARY MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

The GVR Lapidary and Silversmith Club is one of the largest clubs of its type in the United States. We operate three lapidary and silversmithing Centers in Green Valley. Each Center includes a shop, equipment for members to use for lapidary and silversmith activities, and classrooms for the many courses we teach through the club. We encourage all members to utilize each of the facilities to meet other club members and become familiar with the equipment available in each of the shops.

Please consider joining the GVR Lapidary & Silversmith Club as a member.

The annual dues of $50 is due by January 1st. We encourage you to pay early so as not to get the dreaded “OH NO” from the sign-in computer after the January 1st due date. New students who join during a class in October, November or December, will get those months added to their next year's membership. New or returning members who join/renew later in the year, and wish to work in the shops during those months, must pay the current year's dues as well as the following year's.

Completion of a Membership form is required each year for all new and returning members!

Please fill out the application form in its entirety. For example, the “in case of emergency” information could be a lifesaver in case of a medical emergency in the shop. Also, please indicate how you would like to fulfill your 12 volunteer hours per year.

Members are required to read the club Shop Rules. This is important information about your health and safety while enjoying the benefits of the GVR Lapidary and Silversmith Club.

Dues are payable by cash, check, or credit card at any Lapidary Center. You may also mail the membership form and your check (made out to GVR Lapidary Club) to:

To apply for membership, please download this file in PDF version, print it, complete it (or better yet, complete it online, then print it), and bring membership fee to one of the Centers or mail a check to the above address!

DONATION FORM:

Donations are welcomed and appreciated. Donations will be designated for replacement of large equipment, such as Slab Saws, Custom Work Benches, Kiln, etc.

MEMBERSHIP NAME BADGES:

Name badges will be ordered for new members. When they arrive, you may pick yours up at the East Center shop. If you have any questions, contact Peg at membership@gvrlapidaryclub.org.
You are encouraged to wear them, especially around the shops, as they will help you to get to know other members and help to promote the club.

There is no charge for a name badge for new members. If the badge gets lost, a replacement fee of $5.00 will be the responsibility of the member.
