WORKSHOP Make a Bezel Cup
When: Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30, 2PM-5PM
THIS IS A 2-DAY INTERMEDIATE LEVEL WORKSHOP
PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER WITHOUT HAVING FULFILLED THE FOLLOWING PREREQUISITES
Prerequisites:
Attend this workshop to get information and tips to make a bezel cup. You must be comfortable with your soldering skills to attend this workshop. Although some tools will be made available for this class, you are encouraged to bring your own tools, materials, and projects.
If you do not have a current bezel project and wish to participate, then a pendant materials kit will be provided for the Materials Fee of $65.

Materials Fee: $65 (to be paid to the teacher at the beginning of class if a pendant kit is purchased, otherwise the workshop is free)
Additional Information: Wear old clothes, closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back. Optivisor magnification can be provided. Open flames will be used, so oxygen tanks cannot be allowed. Strong magnets in some equipment may affect a pacemaker; concerned individuals seek advice from your physician.
This workshop will be offered occasionally during the year, although other dates have not been confirmed. Once they are confirmed they will be listed in the Club Calendar. If you wish to attend a club event and it is listed on the calendar you can click on it and register for it before the announcement email is sent out to all the members.
Mold Making Workshop
When: Tuesday, May 5, at 8:30am- 12:00pm
Location: East Lapidary Studio and East Shop
Instructor: Robin Randall
This workshop introduces the process of making a silicon mold of a metal object provided or approved by the instructor. The mold is then split open and wax is injected into it. This process is designed for making multiple wax copies of a metal object which can then be (Lost Wax) casted into metal objects that mimic the original.
Bring small objects to use to make your mold.
Material fee: $25 (to be paid to instructor)

Setting CZs in Metal Clay Workshop
WHEN: Thursday, May 28 from 1 to 4:30 pm.
WHERE: East Lapidary Studio
PREREQUISITES:
Cubic Zirconia (CZ) can be set into Metal Clay before firing. There are several techniques to achieve this, so understanding the basic concept of CZ positioning will be a priority. In this workshop, you will create a small silver metal clay pendant with a variety of CZs in different settings. This creative process will allow you to design your own unique masterpiece afterward! Plus, don't forget that CZs can also beautifully complement Bronze Metal Clay.

Bronze Metal Clay Workshop
WHEN: Monday and Thursday, June 8 and 11 from am am to Noon.
Prong Settings in Metal Clay 3-Day Workshop
WHEN: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, July 6, 8, and 10 from 10 am to Noon.
This workshop is the ideal introduction for anyone interested in setting cabochons in Metal Clay. You'll grasp the two fundamental concepts: accounting for shrinkage and fusing silver to metal clay. During the session, you’ll create a simple pendant featuring a cabochon set in fine-silver prongs. While the example images may appear more intricate, we'll concentrate solely on the prong settings.
