Class Registrar / GVR Interface We take great pride in offering dynamic lapidary and jewelry making classes that not only showcase traditional skills but also embrace the latest techniques and innovations. Volunteers are dedicated to collecting and refining class proposals from aspiring instructors, transforming their ideas into engaging and informative descriptions. This curated information is then presented to GVR, for inclusion into the official GVR Recreational Class Catalog. | Instructors and Assistants Who teaches our classes and workshops? Volunteer Instructors and their Assistants. Who can be instructors or assistants? Individuals who have knowledge in the subject matter or those who wish to enhance their skills and understanding. We further support Instructors and their Assistants in helping them with creating a curriculum, gathering instructional materials, and assembling kits of materials. | Materials Many lapidary and jewelry-making classes and workshops supply participants with the materials needed for the class. For example, they often provide cabochons, silver sheet, and bezel material for setting stones. A group of volunteers helps to gather and assemble these materials into kits. Our club also has an extensive library of videos and books. Additionally, we hold casual gatherings to watch educational videos in the classroom. |
